What are the BAD things about DEWALT DC618K?

Just like every product I have ever reviewed, nothing is perfect and here are the flaws I noticed after reading and doing a deep researching for quality reviews:

  • So the first thing lots of buyers were complaining on is the weight of this tool, as it's really a massive tool and weights 8.5Lbs which is basically because of it's powerful battery and also it's Fat Front.
  • As a result of it's big size It is also very cumbersome to hang on your tool belt.

And how about the GOOD things about DEWALT DC618K?

  • Regarding the weight problem I mentioned above, most of the users said that although this tool is heavy, they prefer it to be heavy but portable (cordless) and they Don't have to drag out with an air compressor  if you rather a pneumatic tool.
  • The speed of this tool was overwhelming and has an Accurate electronic depth adjustment and you could also  you can set the it to single/multy fire and it's never stuck.
  • Lots of reviewers mentioned that it has a very good grip and stays steady in your hand while sweaty and also a quality trigger feel.
  • It's pretty quiet if you compare it to other related products.
  • It has a long battery life.
  • It's easy to maneuver with it and it fits in almost every corner.

Overall, what do I think?

DEWALT DC618K nail gun, in my eyes it is the best electric staple gun in the Electric Nailers market today. Dewalt is a well none quality firm and you can't be relaxed with their extraordinary warranty package. I think that the most important advantage I've mentioned is that it's never stuck, which was one of the major problems with other tools I've researched. I found lots of users from all kinds of level, from home users to pro users, which reviewed lots of projects they have completed using this tool and were very enthusiastic. I highly recommend you to purchase the DEWALT DC618K, you won’t regret it!

Hope my webpage has helped you,

The 4 Different staple nail gun products – Find out which one fits for you

So I guess you really want to know what the hack I can do with a staple nail gun.

Well, as I've researched for the ultimate staple nail gun, and found lots of reviewers which told their story after working with the Dewalt nail gun or other companies, so first of all here is a glimpse of the common staple nail gun products:

1.      Framing nailers

This kind is the HEAVIEST nailer due to the 3½” nailes which is needed and used for heavy constructions and wood framing and it usually a pneumatic tool.

2.      Coil Roofing nailers

This kind use a shorter nails with larger heads and used for different roof jobs, such as shingles. The nail length is between 3/4"  to 1 3/4".

3.      Finishing nailers

The finishing nailers are the common ones and used for a variety of indoor jobs. You can watch some of the jobs in this short clip, click here.

It usually comes with a shorter, lighter gauge nails 1” to 2-1/2” nails and available in both electric and pneumatic tools.

4.      Brad nailers

The brad nailer use 5/8” to 2” nails and it differed from the finishing nailer mostly by the fact that the nail magazine is not angled. The brad nailer is usually used for smaller jobs such as small wood projects, chairs, and upholstery and it usually a pneumatic tool.

Now after you are more familiar with the different kinds, let's talk about what you need. I think that you can easy eliminate 2-3 of the products based on your needs and stay with 1-2 options to decide on.

I think that most of you will be staying with the 3rd option, Finishing nailers, which basically fits for all of the indoor jobs.

In my last post I talked about the question whether to choose the Electric Nailers or  the or Pneumatic Nailers. Now if you read it, you'll understand why I prefer the Electric Nailers. And if it's Electric nailer, I would probably look for Dewalt nail gun which will probably be a Dewalt 18 volt tool, since it's a powerful one.

Electric Nailers or Pneumatic Nailers

When you search for a staple nail gun, you will probably ask yourself this famous question, should I choose an Electric nailer or a Pneumatic one? Just keep on reading and find out.

Well, basically when I struggle in myself, I usually think what will fit to my needs the most, and also try to see the advantages and disadvantages in both of my options.

So, to keep it short, I'll try to give you really the highlights of each option:

Electric Nailers:

The major advantage is that it's cordless so we could take it anywhere we want without any wires hanging around or electricity cables. Think about a situation where you would like to fix/renovate/install something on your roof. I guess it will be very hard to pull neither a long electricity cable nor the compressor itself up there.

On the other hand you are depending on a limited battery life, which could be reducing the power of your tool after a while.

Pneumatic Nailers:

Well, it's simple, the disadvantage of the electric nailers is the advantage of the Pneumatic nailers, as it remains powerful without any limit, unless you don't have electricity.

Regarding the disadvantages, you'll need an air compressor too, which is another headache and of course more money…Besides, imagine yourself waiting for the air compressor to start working and drag it anywhere you go.

Conclusions:

In my opinion the Pneumatic nailers are far behind and are history tools, as the battery's life of the Electric nailers are very long, especially the 18V, and you could always backup yourself with another one. The power of the Electric nailers is not falling from the Pneumatic nailers and that Mythos is crap, as I understood the Electric nailers are really powerful tools.
